My designer hat has been so popular this year in the grey and white, but I can make in any colour or colours. Another make of my designer Car Seat Blanket – I have made so many of them to count now.  I just love the pattern of the Caterpillar Blanket, again any colours, you can have an applique animal of your choice and a toy to match - I love challenges! In this set you can have a hat to match too! The Blue Bear Blanket is a lovely pattern again. The patterns came from YouTube Craft and Crochet.

Hello everyone

I am in love with Author Margaret Graham!

I just love to read; it whiles away the hours in the night when I cannot sleep. Recently I discovered Margaret Graham by reading ‘The Easterleigh Series’, I found the books on Kindle – wow those books kept me riveted and I just could not put them down. I searched for Margaret on the internet and found she has written many books and writes under the pen names Annie Clarke and Millie Adams!  Oh, I was so excited, as I often run out of books to read. I have since read ‘Girls on the Homefront’ Series, Annie Clarke, and ‘The Waterway Girls’ series – Millie Adams, I really enjoyed the Waterway series with so many facts, did you know that girls worked on the canals delivering coal and steel, among other things, during The Second World War? That was something I had not heard of. Margaret really has an amazing talent for writing and again I was just glued to her books!

I then search for Margaret on Facebook and messaged her. We had a nice chat over Messenger, and we talked about knitting and crochet.  I decided I had to crochet something for her expected grandson, she is so excited, it had to be a little bear hat, which are so popular now. I can design all kinds of animal hats, do watch out for my new designs coming shortly for Christmas!  Margaret was delighted and asked if she could do a little mention of me on the Frost website of which she is Editor. I am so very thrilled by what she has written. Thank you, Margaret. Here is the link to the article, I just love her naming of her expected Grandson by going through the alphabet!

A little Bear Hat gift for Margaret's expected grandson

This hat is available in any colour and all sizes from 0-Adult. Great for a photoshoot.

Specially designed hat for Margaret

How are you all, I do hope you are coping with this new life?  I think we will have to all adapt for quite a while!  Wearing a mask when going out is very strange, as at one time if you wore a mask you were either a cowboy or a robber! I have seen people crocheting masks, but I do not really think I will be making them, as I do not feel they would offer protection!

I have been making a few hats and looking at new patterns recently, so many on the internet you are spoilt for choice, but I have found a lovely  blanket pattern, which has been added to my long list of item to do!

I really must share these gorgeous photos of Phillipa’s beautiful baby, Phoebe. Thank you to Caroline Wallbank Photography

Hi Everyone
I hope you are keeping safe and enjoying the nice weather again?

Just a few items I have crocheted recently.

A cardigan and headband for Jasmine in a pattern I have wanted to do for ages, but it was in a different language, finally success in finding it.

Congratulations to Phillipa Jayne Clover and Paul on the birth of their beautiful daughter Phoebe. Another little gift of bunny outfit and headband - enjoy your photoshoot.

An unusual request for a lamb, who, before I dropped him off had a graze in the garden.

Keep smiling everyone xxxxxxx

A very happy customer

Hello everyone

I do hope everyone is coping with this isolation? At least in England we have had wonderful weather for the last few weeks. A bit of rain today and tomorrow, which is much needed, then it brightens up again. I have been keeping occupied doing some baking, a lot of sleeping (which is usual) and my hook has been working hard.

I have just finished and dropped off my gift for Phillipa. It is very hard for mummies and daddies expecting babies at the moment, they can't have the classes, not much choice of birth plan, also, which is so sad, also the baby not being able to be cuddled by relatives and friends. So I decided Phillipa must have something very sparkly for her baby. Good luck Phillipa and Paul it won't be long now. The Midwives, doctors and support staff have to be kept safe, they are all doing a wonderful job, under terrible difficulties and want the mummy baby and daddy to be kept well.

This is my design blanket, after seeing a picture of a cushion. I knew that was how I wanted my blanket to look! However, I could not find the pattern anywhere, plenty of photos, but after hours of searching, it was thinking cap on and I worked out a similar pattern I wanted, joining the squares with a slip stitch pattern, and I finished off with a ruffled edging. Very pleased with the outcome and so is Phillipa!

The little bear hat, suitable for coming out of hospital or as a photo shoot hat, is just a basic beanie with ears. I have also just finished photo prop hat, and nappy cover, but I am keeping that under wraps until the baby is born. 28/4/2020

Please be strong everyone, keep smiling and one day soon, when it is safe, we will be able to be with our friends and family again. God Bless

Blanket and Bear Hat for Phillipa

Hello Everyone

I do hope you are all keeping safe? I am keeping occupied, as you can guess, crocheting! I am thankful that I am a woolaholic, so have plenty of yarn, I always knew my stockpile would come in useful!

It has been sometime since I did a post on my website, but my limited energy has been taken up with orders and making presents..A present, of my design car seat for a special mummy, I decided a bear was needed - so I free-formed one! (free-form is not using a pattern and designing as you go)!

I have had a variety of things to make since Christmas. Having a new Grandchild, well she is five months now, it is a must! A cardigan for Jasmine, Pattern for cardigan, from Kerry Jayne Designs, a paid pattern but again excellent. I have also made one or two hat’s for Jasmine!

I had fun designing a cardigan and beret for a 1st Birthday present - his Granddad wanted a cardigan with Manchester City colours, with toggle buttons, and a collar. He sent me a picture of a pattern he liked, so I used a basic pattern and then designed the rest. I was quite pleased with the beret, I had made one once before, but typical me, I didn’t write the pattern down!

Lynn, my daughter, had an inquiry from a friend asking if I could make a loopy cardigan – always in for a challenge, I made one – a nice pattern from Shifio’s Patterns, Pattern for Loopy  a paid pattern again, but it was worth it, very clear instructions. I have used this site many times for baby patterns.

Missing my grandchildren, so we are doing a lot of Facetiming, but I decided it was time to design another huggie taggie blanket especially for Jasmine. So, it’s a bear this time! See video and photos.

I have also made a pink and cream baby blanket, and bunny hats. I can design any hats for baby photo shoots, so please just ask. There is a selection of my very early ones on my website.

Having only girls in my family, I decided I must do a hat for a boy. But the hat can be made in pink too! Choice of where pompoms go!

My next item is a blanket, a gift for a very lovely, beautiful girl, a friend of my daughters. She is expecting a baby in a few weeks. As you can imagine, she is feeling quite sad, as she is on complete lockdown and no baby shower! I am making a couple of presents for the new baby to cheer her up, she has picked the colours and I have found a nice pattern on You Tube. She also wants a photo shoot hat, she can't have a photographer so is going to do her own.

Well, everyone, thank you so much for looking at my page, take care, and God Bless.
